About WIP Latino

Wanting to contribute to the completion of Latino and Ibero-American films, WIP Latino is seeking feature films that are currently in post-production, made by either Latino or Ibero-American directors living in North America (USA or Canada), or by American and Canadian directors who have a film with Latino or Latin American content.

WIP Latino will take place on October 7th, 2016 as part of the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Los Angeles –.

Three feature fiction and/or documentary films seeking post-production funds will be chosen to screen before the jury and film industry professionals at FICG in LA. WIP Latino is working to garner specific support for the post-production and commercial distribution of the selected films. The awards will be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition, the winning project will automatically qualify to be considered for Guadalajara Construye 11/ Works in progress, or for the Ibero-American Competition of the next edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG32) – March 2017.  Guadalajara Construye/ Works in Progress is a unique program that selects and presents seven fictional films that are in their post-production phase to industry professionals accredited to the festival (producers, distributors, sales agents, representative of production service companies, funding companies, and film festivals), who can enable the completion of these works-in-progress and their subsequent exhibition.

Guadalajara Construye 11 / Films in Progress will take place in March of 2017 as part of FICG 32.
